This richly crystallized Cornish Paratacamite specimen comes complete with an array of old collection and dealer labels dating it to the 1970s. It is classic Levant mine, from underground workings stretching out underneath the sea. The deep forest-green Paratacamite microcrystals carpet several sides of the specimen and form net-like 3-dimensional growths, with intriguing forms. Its earliest label is a Towan Gems & Mineral Centre, Newquay, Cornwall, about which little is known, but its appears based on its phone number to be from the 1970s or perhaps earlier. Other collections include Ian and Kim Acworth (no. 67 - acquired in April 1976), David Cowan, and Malcolm Southwood (MS 2014.223).
