This cabinet-sized Native Copper specimen is from the famous Tsumeb mine in Namibia - perhaps the world's most famous mineral locality. Not only is it from the mineralogical Mecca, but it is wonderfully sculptural too, displaying fantastic large branching dendritic growths of crystallized Native Copper full of individual character. The Native Copper has a characteristic metallic copper red patina but is dappled in colour throughout, adding additional interest and allure. A really superb, dramatic, and large Native Copper from such an iconic locality. Ex Eike Pätz collection.
