This is a very sculptural Native Copper, and being large miniature in size it makes for a fine display. It is from Ogonja (Onganja) in the Windhoek District, Namibia, famed for its remarkable crystallization's of Native Copper in dendritic and arborescent forms. Branching and feather-like in form this specimen also has an almost skeletal appearance in parts. It has one main 'stem' but from this a wispy branch protrudes weirdly from it. Lower down, the main branch splits in two opposing directions. With its very dark surface tarnish it looks of considerable age, but is probably mid-20th century at the earliest.
