A historic meteorite from the Pultusk Fall in Poland which was observed on 30th January 1868. Meteorites from observed falls are rare because most meteorite specimens date from prehistory or as unwitnessed falls. This small thumbnail specimen is a black rounded fragment with a blacked fusion crust formed on passing through Earth's atmosphere. This meteorite is an H5, olivine-bronzite chondrite and was recovered from fragments scattered over a large strewn field from which 250 kg of material was recovered. A lovely piece of European natural history all for $625.
