Displaying the classic duck egg blue colour of Hemimorphite for which Roughton Gill is so famous, this attractive miniature specimen is most likely from more recent (1990s) finds in Higher Roughton Gill. With fragments of bleached host rock, Hemimorphite forms both colourless bladed microcrystals and more conspicuous bright blue crystallized botryoidal crusts lining small cavities. A very attractive Roughton Gill miniature. Ex Malcolm Southwood Collection.
