Goldhillite from the Type Locality at Gold Hill mine, Tooele Co., Utah, USA. This miniature specimen was, until very recently, labelled as Philipsburgite, but recent analytical work has shown that due to a general absence of phosphate within the Gold Hill mine mineral deposit these green crystal sprays are an entirely new species - named in 2022 as Goldhillite. Magnification is required to best appreciate this specimen, but the upper surface is liberally scattered with fairly flat-lying rosettes of platy, deep forest green, Goldhillite microcrystals. The rosettes reach up to 3 mm in diameter. Some of the higher, protruding rosettes show slight bruising damage, but most are clean and excellent examples of this new species.
