This small cabinet specimen is a old-time European classic. Instantly recognizable as from Neudorf in the Harz Mountains, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany it simply oozes classics vibes. Featuring the iconic combination of a well-formed cubo-octahedral Galena crystal (in this case as a composite, or perhaps twinned crystal, to 1.2 across) alongside a glossy layer of 'wet' lustrous light brown rhombic crystals of Siderite on a white druse of sparkling Quartz crystals, it is simply superb. There is some surface wear to the Galena crystals and tiny chipping to some of the edges of the Siderite crystals, but Neudorf specimens are always very old and well-loved things. Ex. Günter Ertle collection.
