A terminated stubby lime-green Forsterite forming a spear-shaped crystal from Sapat Gali by Naran in the Mansehra District of Pakistan. Forsterite is the Mg-rich end-member of the olivine solid solution series and is associated with the Earth's mantel in its upper 400 km outer shell. The off-matrix crystal is translucent and has slightly water-worn crystal faces with rounded edges. A pleasing and typical example of this important rock forming mineral.
