A classic combination specimen of gemmy light green twined Fluorite crystals measuring to 2 cm with creamy white Calcite crystals and lead grey crystals of Galena. A 3.0 x 2.5 cm area of Aragonite crystals is seen near one edge of the specimen. The underside of the specimen has a vein of Fluorite and Galena capped with nail-head Calcite crystals on a brown altered Limestone/Ironstone matrix. From Heights mine close to the village of Westgate in Weardale, County Durham, England. The Galena forms mainly as sharp, well-defined cubes of between 1 and 1.8 cm on edge although some show modifications to the cuboctahedron displaying attractive chamfered corners. A terrific large cabinet specimens which aptly display the principle mineral association found at the Height's mine.
