A relatively new find of rich indigo blue to light blue complex crystals of Fluorite on Quartz, from the Huanggang Mine (Shaft 4), Banner, Mongolia. Inter-grown Fluorite crystals abundantly form on well developed prismatic crystals of Quartz. The lustrous Fluorite crystals, measuring to 2.5 cm, show excellent examples of the hopper habit on the cubic faces, with complex combinations of dodecahedral and octahedral faces, giving the edges a rounded appearance. A single crystal of Quartz measuring to 9 cm shows several phases of deposition. A very fine specimen and an uncommon, deep colour for Fluorite from this find.
