Glassy, sea-green cubic Fluorite crystals form a beautiful off-matrix cluster; the largest crystal measuring 2.8 x 2.4 x 2.3 cm with the remainder between 0.6 and 1 cm on edge. From Heights mine at Westgate in Weardale, County Durham, England, the crystals have a translucent outer layer with a frosted and crazed inner core. Close examination reveals exquisite colour zoning parallel to the faces and edges, as alternating delicate sea-green and paler watery-green linear zones. A choice miniature Fluorite.
