A roughly 10 x 9 cm plate covered with equant cubic crystal of light lemon-yellow Fluorite from the famous Hilton mine in Scordale, Cumbria, England, close to the market town of Appleby. The cubes have a bright glassy lustre and razor-sharp edges, many displaying stepped growth geometries on the faces. An area of approximately 8 x 6 cm on the rear side is covered with similar crystals, the remainder of this face being more massive, whiteish-lemon Fluorite. A good example from Hilton which emits a bright lavender fluorescence under LWUV.
