A great specimen of classic emerald-green Fluorite from the world-famous Heights mine, north of Westgate in the Weardale Valley of County Durham, England. Naturally etched equant cubic crystals to 1.4 cm cover a light chocolate-brown ironstone matrix with occasional crude, dull lead-grey Galena crystals. The surfaces of the Fluorite and Galena crystals are all pitted due to natural in-situ etching processes and in daylight the Fluorite fluoresces azure-sapphire-blue around the crystal edges. A lovely example of Heights mine Fluorite with minor Galena.
