An intergrown group of honey-lemon Fluorite crystals from the renowned Hilton mine in Scordale, Cumbria, England. A number of large distorted cubic crystals are cemented by a groundmass of considerably smaller Fluorite crystals with opaque milky centres. The large crystals are reasonably gemmy, with many good transparent zones which separate cloudy patches. The largest crystal measures 3.2 x 2.5 x 2.0 cm and is penetrated by a smaller twin crystal, the rear of which is missing. The main crystal is magnificent, especially when back-lit and displays subtle colour zoning close to its outer edges.
