An off-matrix cluster of three inter-grown cubic Fluorite crystals from Height's mine at Westgate in the Weardale valley of County Durham, England. Emanating from a core of massive lilac Fluorite, the three bluish sea-green crystals tend to have transparent outer edges and faces which grade to a translucent clouded interior and core. The crystals display sharp clean-cut edges with stepped growth patterns, glassy surfaces and a glassy to greasy lustre, dependant on the surface morphology. Such marine sea-green Fluorite groups are seldom seen from the famous Heights mine, but when they do turn up, they are beautiful and arresting.
