As far as Tsumeb Cuprite specimens go this is a stunner. Cabinet in size, this is a supremely large, and dense display specimen with no obvious damage to its display surface. The whole specimen is interspersed with Cuprite - from bright blood-red in veinlets in the freshly broken rear surface, to darker burgundy-purple on the crystallized front display face. The display surface is a really large and fine coverage of complex, attractive, undulating crystallized surfaces with Cuprite in unusual stepped modified crystals. Cuprite specimens this big and dramatic from Tsumeb are extremely rare, making this a serious collectors piece.
