A classic specimen of Chalcosiderite from the source of the world's best material - Wheal Phoenix (probably from Stowe's Section) Linkinhorne, Cornwall. Lustrous dark green spheroidal aggregates composed of platy Chalcosiderite crystals line cavities within classic Quartz-Goethite gossan. The spherical aggregates, which reach an impressive 5 mm in diameter, cover over an area of approximately 4.8 cm x 2 cm. Further massive Chalcosiderite is sporadically distributed throughout the matrix on the back of the specimen. Ex Professor Werner Paar collection.
