A quite spectacular cabinet specimen, rich in highly lustrous Cerussite crystals which form a jumbled array over micro-crystalline Smithsonite. This is a great Cerussite from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia, displaying crystals up to 3.7 x 1.5 cm, many of which subtly grade from colourless to rich golden-sherry brown. Many crystals are well terminated; many are twinned and some display various forms of the reticulated habit. Damaged crystals are present, but become lost amongst the complexity of the specimen. Underlying the Cerussite are hundreds of micro-Smithsonite crystals which range from light grey to an orangey-buff. The specimen sits on a grey matrix of what appears to be a sulphide impregnated arenaceous limestone. A very fine and showy Cerussite from Tsumeb.
