An extraordinary cabinet specimen of glassy, millimetre-sized Anglesite crystals entirely coating an angular, open-structured matrix of platy Cerussite crystals of up to 5 cm long, from the MMM mine on the line-of-lode mining complex at Broken Hill, New South Wales. It is specimens such as this that gave instant fame to the Broken Hill deposit when it was first worked in the 1880s. This heavy specimen is enhanced further by the subtle yet distinct contrast between the slightly greyish-white Cerussite and snowy-white Anglesite. Simply superb!
