This is a good-size uncut fragment for study from the famous Carbonaceous Chondrite Allende meteorite which fell to Earth at Pueblito de Allende in Mexico on 8 February 1969. Widely regarded as the most studied meteorite of all, the classic internal pisolitic texture is displayed nicely on this 16.99 g specimen. The largest of all recorded Carbonaceous Chondrites, over 2 tonnes have been recovered. Ex David Baker Collection.
