A ultra gemmy, rich aqua blue crystal of Beryl, var. Aquamarine stands out from the surrounding thin platy silvery-grey 'hexagonal' crystals of Muscovite from Dara-l-Pech, Afghanistan. The gem-grade crystal of Aquamarine measures 3.4 cm across with strong development of prism and pinacoid faces the intersections are truncated by some development of pyramidal faces. An extremely aesthetic cabinet-sized matrix Aquamarine specimen from Afghanistan, of the highest quality as one would expect from a specimen formerly in the Jesse Fisher and Joan Kurecka collection.
