An arresting and highly unusual specimen of gemmy Beryl with a highly reflective glassy lustre, superb natural etching and of a gorgeous pale, almost colourless, bluish-sea green. The specimen is from the classic gemstone state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The Beryl forms a deeply etched, glass-like pair of transparent plates, seamlessly joined at ninety degrees. Despite being deeply furrowed through natural etching processes, the surfaces are glassy-smooth. This is a fascinating and tactile specimen of Beryl and of a beautiful and unusual aesthetic.
