A classic British Baryte specimen from the Mowbray mine, Frizington, Cumbria. Large, lustrous, glassy to resinous, pale pastel blue gemmy bladed/tabular Baryte crystals form a pleasing crystal cluster intergrown with a small amount of creamy-pinkish intergrown saddle-habit Dolomite. The main Baryte crystal reaches 8.8 cm in length by 6.3 cm wide and is glassy and bright, but missing the very tip of one termination. Another minor 'bite' out of one crystal edge is actually a natural contact where another crystal was once attached. The other smaller Baryte crystals projecting off in different directions are all in great condition. A fine, very displayable Mowbray mine Baryte.
