A single, off-matrix, crystal of golden-honey Baryte from Mowbray mine, just south of Frizington in Cumbria, famous for its classic specimens. This thick, chunky crystal is translucent throughout and looks beautiful, especially when back-lit. The crystal contains typical crossed-diagonal cleavage planes; has very glassy and lustrous faces and the tip changes to a translucent pale yellow-cream. A very old, barely legible attached label reads 'Barytes, Cumberland, England'.
