Two double terminated, glassy, golden-sherry to pale yellow Baryte crystals display well against a background of yellow cubic Fluorite crystals from P'hla in the Schwarzenberg District of Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany. The Baryte crystals measure approximately 5.5 x 3.2 x 1.8 cm and 5.2 x 1.5 x 1.4 cm and both have transparent yet opaque yellow-cream centres grading to transparent and partly gemmy double terminations, grading from pale lemon to a rich golden sherry-brow. A solid underlying Quartz matrix has its display surface completely coated with slightly frosted lemon-yellow Fluorite crystals to 5 mm on edge, many of which have formed a series of parallel ridges that traverse the specimen. Please note that some of the Baryte termination face edges are very slightly bruised, probably during the mining operation. A showy and beautiful specimen from the old mining district of P'hla.
