Blocky intergrown Azurite crystals form an inverted T-shaped specimen from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. The Azurite occurs in a number of vivid shades of azure blue, ranging from a highly lustrous inky royal-blue to a lighter and beautiful steely-sapphire-blue. The Azurite crystals have flat pinacoid terminations and the specimen is punctuated all over by small patches of earthy, pale green Malachite. A great Tsumeb Azurite which can be displayed from either side, yet with two quite different appearances because of changes in its colour.
