A finger-like arborescent group of snow-white Aragonite from Rogerley mine, just west of the village of Frosterley in Weardale, County Durham. The stalactitic 'fingers' form rounded masses covered in micro-crystals of Aragonite, giving an overall slightly silky lustre. A splendid example of Aragonite from Rogerley mine which dates from 1993, when it was mined by the Cumbria Mining & Mineral Co., owned by the late Lindsay Greenbank. This specimen comes with a now historic 'Secured Minerals' card label, from Lindsay's renowned mineral dealership.
