Pink translucent-gemmy crystals of Fluorapophyllite are richly scattered over a matrix of Quartz mixed with Calcite from the St. Andreasberg area in Lower Saxony, Germany. The Fluorapophyllite crystals measure to 5 mm and form as intergrown groups over the matrix. Individual crystals have translucent to opaque, creamy strawberry-milkshake pink centres framed by gemmy, delicate rose pink Fluorapophyllite edges. Such specimens of pink Fluorapophyllite (formerly Apophyllite) were even very rare during the heyday of silver mining in this area. Although his specimen has not been analysed, St. Andreasberg specimens are specifically Fluorapophyllite-(K).
