A fine specimen of Apophyllite from the celebrated St. Andreasberg mining area in Germany. The Apophyllite forms intergrown composite crystals to 2cm with well developed prism and pyramid faces, and some development of a minor pinacoid face. The crystals richly encrust a white Calcite matrix. The colour is a lovely light pink, some crystals with water clear terminations. An excellent specimen of a hard to find mineral from the area, likely from the Samson Mine.
