A simple, yet delightful matrixless Anglesite crystal from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. Ex John Schneider Collection, this perfectly terminated translucent crystal is an ethereal sky-blue tinted white and not of uniform colour, with parts bluer or whiter than others. This colour is certainly not common in Anglesite from Tsumeb, making it not only more attractive, but special too. The termination is a pointed chisel-tip, 4 cm broad by 1.2 cm thick, while the prism faces are vertically striated with a lustre varying between satin and pearlescent. This is an outstanding Tsumeb Anglesite because of its sharpness of features and bewitching colour.
