Renowned for very large individual, blocky Anglesite crystals, but often lacking in brightness, Tsumeb mine has also provided us with smaller, gemmy, colourless to white, euhedral bladed crystals, often freestanding upon altered sulphide-rich matrix. Larger miniature in size, this flattish plate is totally covered bright adamantine, transparent, colourless, sharp, tabular to bladed, orthorhombic Anglesite crystals reaching to 8 mm in length and many rising upright, allowing their excellent crystal form to be admired. The Anglesite crystals are all in very fine condition and cover one side of the dark greyish altered sulphide-bearing matrix. Ex David Hardman Collection, this is probably an older specimen, perhaps dating to the 1970s.
