An excellent crystal specimen of Acanthite from the now famous Imiter Mine, Morocco. The specimen displays a major aggregate of intergrown Acanthite, with excellent large crystals measuring to 2.4cm. The Acanthite crystals have an elongated octahedral form, with mid grey metallic lustre. This specimen is probably from the great find of 2005, from this large open cast mine. The deposit is an epithermal silver deposit estimated to be early Cambrian in age, with a polymetallic element. A terrific Acanthite from the mine well regarded for the silver minerals it has produced, with large well formed crystals.
