This is a really tasty looking Wulfenite-Mimetite combo from the recent finds at La Morita mine, Chihuahua, Mexico. Like many of the Wulfenites from this mine the tabular crystals are a lovely butterscotch colour with a really striking 'wet' resinous lustre. On a miniature-sized piece of Baryte matrix the Wulfenite blades rise up above a thin layer of pale cream coloured botryoidal to spheroidal Mimetite crystals. The largest Wulfenite crystal reaches 1.5 cm on edge and is a composite crystal of slightly stacked layers. It has a slight chip to one corner but still looks very fine. The Wulfenite crystals display classic bevelled edges and stand out really well compared to other more famous older Wulfenite occurrences.
