This charming thumbnail of acidic lemon-yellow Wulfenite with inclusions of crisp, apple green Duftite is from the world-famous Tsumeb mine in Namibia. Wulfenite, a lead molybdate, forms flat tabular crystals with bevelled edges, the largest measuring 2 x 1.5 x 0.3 cm. The crystal faces have a rounded appearance, with a bright yet slightly waxy lustre and grade from semi-transparent to translucent. This specimen is mounted on a square colourless acrylic base.
