Wulfenite is quite a rarity from the famous historic Príbram mining area in Central Bohemia, Czech Republic and when specimens are seen they tend to feature elongated bipyramidal crystals rather than tabular platy ones. This impressive small cabinet-sized specimen consists of a dense Galena matrix upon which a thin white to pale cream crust has formed which is itself studded with resinous, dark brown-grey square, thick tabular Wulfenite crystals, many just 1 mm in size, but several larger, up to 4 mm on edge. The Wulfenite crystals are in great condition and this is extremely rich in this species compared to the rare examples which occasionally come up for sale. Ex Martin Bohaty collection.
