This attractive and sturdy large miniature Wulfenite is a fine example from the Touissit mining area within the greater Touissit-Bou Beker District of the L'oriental Region in Morocco. Often, the Wulfenite from Touissit is somewhat delicate, but these tabular crystals are relatively thick and chunky, making it easy to handle while retaining its aesthetics. Flat tabular Wulfenite crystals of vibrant apricot orange display chamfered corners and bevelled edges, all averaging around 1 cm on edge. The Crystals have a bright glassy lustre while their surfaces are quite pitted, a result of natural etching due to changes in fluid chemistry when in situ.
