Wendwilsonite, a rare calcium-magnesium-cobalt arsenate occurs as excellent broad bladed crystals to about 5 mm tall on a delicate blush-pink Cobaltoan Calcite matrix. Wendwilsonite forms a series with Roselite, the latter occurring on this specimen as candy pink micro-crystals and probably within the Wendwilsonite crystals where the two series become interspersed. The Cobaltoan Calcite forms a series of successive stepped layers in differing shades of pastel pink and delicate, agate-like bands traversing the specimen. An aesthetic and interesting large miniature/small cabinet specimen from the Aghbar mine in the Bou Azzer District of Morocco.
