This thumbnail specimen is a really rather rich example of Tsumcorite from its Type Locality at Tsumeb mine. Almost the whole of the specimen is orange Tsumcorite, forming what appears to be a vein, but which has well terminated microcrystals on both sides. The crystal form though is dramatically different. On one side of the vein are mustard-yellow acicular sprays, but on the other side, tiny sheaf-like, waxy, orange-brown aggregates coat the surface. Very dark green finely crystallized Duftite coats part of one side of the specimen, overgrowing the Tsumcorite. Two old collection labels accompany the specimen, the older of which - from Dr. Hans-Jurgen Wilke (1925-2014) - shows that it was obtained in May 1976.
