Sometimes size isn't everything. In this miniature specimen from the remote Murzinka mine (Mursinsk), a textbook, perfectly formed terminated prismatic Topaz crystal, 18 mm in length, rises up from a small bed of Feldspar with coarse, frosted, pale Smoky Quartz crystals. The Topaz crystal is glassy and colourless, with a faint blue tint, and has perfect, undamaged faces. A fine pegmatite specimen from a much sought after old-time classic location.
