This fine small cabinet specimen of Topaz and Quartz on Albite is from Chamachhu in the Skardu District, northern Pakistan. The Topaz forms several very sharp well-developed chisel-like crystal to 2.6 cm high by 3 cm to 2.3 cm. All of the Topaz crystals are highly lustrous, with many gemmy areas. The crystals are colourless to partly white on a creamy matrix of bladed crystals of Albite. A 6 cm tall gemmy Quartz crystal stands at an angle behind the Topaz crystals. A fantastic specimen from this famous pegmatite-bearing region.
