The Untersulzbach Valley in the Austrian Alps is one of the classic localities for Titanite in Europe, if not the world. This small cabinet specimen displays perfectly, a single, iconic, monoclinic lime-green Titanite crystal upon Albite-Chlorite matrix. The Titanite crystal, which stands dramatically upright like a sharp tooth, is twinned vertically lengthways. It measures 1.8 cm in length with a light green gemmy to translucent appearance, contrasting nicely with the white Albite underneath. A beautiful European Titanite.
