A rare specimen of Tetradymite from the type locality at 'upkov in the Bansk' Bystrica Region of Slovakia. Trigonal crystals of metallic grey Tetradymite measuring to a little over 2 mm are scattered through a typical white-creamy compact granular altered andesite porphyry matrix. Tetradymite is a rare bismuth-tellurium sulphide and two small occurrences are known close to the village of 'upkov. One of these, named Pod Angleta, is the type locality and the other, J'n Korunt, is close by, but is not the actual type locality. This may be a little pedantic, but it is as it is. This specimen is labelled as from the village of 'upkov so, similar to Schr'dinger's cat, it may or may not be from the specific type locality, but as near as damn it however!
