Sooty and matt, dark grey-black tetrahedral crystals of Tennantite with edges typically to 1.0 cm, but up to 2.3 cm, are intergrown to form a open, cradle-like structure which rises at each end as stacked mounds of crystals. Small milky-white Quartz crystals to 3 or 4 mm occasionally form small patches on the Tennantite. Solid metallic Tennantite can bee seen in the specimen's base as a granular bright silver-white-grey metal. An excellent specimen from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia.
