Tennantite was one of the main copper ores at the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. This beautifully crystallised cabinet specimen in covered in sooty matt, dark grey-black tetrahedral crystals of Tennantite with edges typically measuring 1.5 cm. Small clusters and ribbons of colourless to milky-white acicular Quartz crystals to 5 mm long are scattered over the Tennantite, thereby adding contrast to the overall aesthetic. The Tennantite and Quartz cover an elongated rib of solid Tennantite which can be seen in the specimen's base as a granular bright silver-white-grey metal. A superb specimen.
