Equant, sharply formed metallic crystals of Tennantite, typically to 1 mm across almost entirely cover the top surface of a milky Quartz matrix. This specimen is from Wheal Jewel, another famous mine at Crofthandy by the village of St. Day, a little to the east of Redruth, Cornwall. Under low magnification two other crystal habits are clearly visible; one as flat metallic tabular plates and one as fine clusters of metallic needles. An attractive specimen and one for interesting further study.
