I can only say whoever cracked open this specimen must have had a wonderful surprise! The back of this thin miniature is an uninspiring light great matrix, but on the reverse face is an almost one hundred percent coverage of reticulated bright metallic silver Sylvanite crystals forming a superb display specimen. Sylvanite is a gold-silver telluride and here forms excellent arrays of linear crystals across the surface, forming complex reticulated and stellate patterns. A fine specimen of this interesting telluride from S?c?r'mb in Romania.
