Sylvanite is a rare silver gold telluride and is one of the almost eighty species from the polymetallic deposit at S?c?r'mb at Deva in Hunedoara County, Romania, formerly named Nagy'g. Ribbons of sub-millimetre silvery pale golden Sylvanite cross the face of a dark fawn to light grey massive Quartz matrix encrusted with micro-crystals of Quartz. The Sylvanite ribbons branch out from a common origin, extending across the surface by 6 and 7 cm. This rich and impressive cabinet specimen comes with a Dr Lechner of Wien (Vienna) label.
