A rich area of Acanthite, a silver sulphide, overgrows milky-white Quartz crystals on a matrix of Quartz, which grades to massive Amethystine Quartz. From Moldava in the Kru'n' Hory Mountains of the 'st' Region of the Czech Republic, the Acanthite forms lead-grey equant crystals to almost 5 mm which are lightly sprinkled with rounded shards of colourless Quartz. The front and base of the Quartz matrix becomes banded by light purple-lilac low grade Amethyst. An interesting specimen.
