Diverging sheaves of golden-tan Stilbite-Ca richly cover two prism faces of a sherry-brown, part-gemmy Quartz crystal. From Strzegom in Lower Silesia, Poland, the Stilbite-Ca forms wheatsheaf plumes to over 1 cm tall, in a criss-crossed jumble. The Smoky Quartz crystal varies between transparent and translucent, with the termination paler, and having less inclusions than the lower part. The very tip of the Quartz crystal is slightly chipped, but this is hardly noticeable. The combination is most aesthetic, making a terrific miniature.
