Very fine, bright banana yellow Cadmium enriched Smithsonite crystals cover apricot-cream coloured Dolomite from the Rush Creek mining area in Marion County, Arkansas, USA. The Smithsonite forms as unusual, shallow rib-like crystals with a drusy, micro-botryoidal texture which is even more aesthetic under low magnification. Specimens from the mining district are well known by American collectors and it must be point out the colour in this cabinet specimen is excellent.
